Are there any differences between brand name laptops ( IBM , HP, etc. ) regarding the sound quality they give from their speakers ?

Is this integrated on the CPU chip ? ua549 03-06-2005, 02:34 PM The sound processing is in the chip set, not the CPU. There is a big difference between the speakers on notebooks. Some have one speaker. Most have 2 speakers. I wouldn't want to listen to music from any of them. Like I said the quality range is from bad to worse. A one inch or smaller speaker is incapable of producing reasonable quality low and middle frequency sounds. SharkyExtreme.com
