My pair of Infinity Primus 150's came in on tuesday and I've been enjoying their beautiful sound ever since. I had to tweak with the bass/treble settings on the Onkyo to get them sounding perfect, it was a 5-10 minute process. Im replacing some technics 4-way towers with these bookshelfs lol, weird how that works. Ever since installing these speakers, the mids-highs have really come alive as i hear so much more detail and clarity in comparison to the 20+ year old towers. Every now and then i'll switch the towers back on to take note of how they over-do the lows and highs with non-existant mids. Voices in movies sound garbled up and the bass is BOOMMYY.
For 89.99 a pair I definitely got my money's worth. Im also saving for an HSU Stf-1 to pair with the primus 150's  That should be my first REAL decent 2 channel setup.
Once I got the 150's, it was so harsh on my ears to listen to music through the logitech z5300's (which are still IMO decent computer speakers for gaming).

awesome...im just so amazed by the bookshelfs (im sucha n00bie) that i cant even imagine what effect the stf-1 will have on the sound as a whole.. the most powerful sub i've owned was the logitech z-560 sub. Im expecting a more precise and tamed behavior from the stf-1 with more of an ability to shake the windows (which the z560 sub had no problem doing in my tiny room...)

I have these same bookshelves and they're WICKED!
I use them with my computer but I dont havea decent sub with them. For now I'm using a cheep 10 in. cambridge soundworks sub that I took from my lame home theater setup. This sub has so much lag it's comical to listen to bass heavy music. Anyway, the primus 150 are great.

Yeah they're wicked...and im using them without a sub too and i still think my system is wicked. After considering the HSU stf-1 at its current price im probably going to settle for the Bic Acoustech H-100, It has the same exact amp as the Stf-1 and a 12" driver. I wonder how good it'll mesh with the Primus 150's though.. Im also considering to buy a decent refurb. I cant afford more than 300 for a sub :(

I have 2 comps in the same room and one uses the altec lansing 5021's and the other comp uses the primuses. The primuses bothered me at first because of their very flat signal response but I grew used to it and now I love it. I bought them primarily for their flat response because I wanted to do mix audio.

Caught the Velodyne dps-10 on clearance at JandR, its a refurbished unit so i only paid 199.99 plus tax. This thing performs beautifully. Now with the subwoofer and the primus 150's, i can definitely hear a full range of audio in the music. Two thumbs up for the DPS-10.

Exocer, where did you come up with that username? Just curious, cuz I use it on a Lineage 2 forums and I have never seen anyone else use it :)

At the time I created this user name I thought of myself as an Ex-Overclocker. Back in the celeron 300A days the thought of overclocking was so exciting for me, that was years ago. So around 02' when i joined this forum for a 2nd time (forgot my other account login and password, it had been a while) many many years after that era of overclocking, I came up with the name ex-OCer ;) The overclocking bug hit me again when i got my P4 3.0E but now im more into audio so i've become exocer again. I never thought anyone would even think of a similar screen name....why do you use it?

Congrats! (I missed seeing this thread.) Just curious, what store had the Primuses for $90 a pair? That's half the price of Circuit City. ($90 each)
