well i have read that people need to replace artic silver after a little period of time etc etc.
so i am wondering is it a good idea to use it in a laptop?
it's a p4-m this girl has and it's overheating a lot.

Thermal goop won't make any difference in a laptop, and it'll void your warranty. The prob with laptops is that there's just not enough space to put even a half decent heatsink in there.

yeh her warranty passed.
for the time being i put some vantec stuff until i go buy some artic silver.. and the temperature has dropped significally to 37C ..
and no one word of a lie that lil bi#%@cth of a laptop was over heating when runnig three programs to 95C-101C
So i took it apart, and the person that had fixed her laptop before.
didn't put thermal paste on the core .. but put it away like 1 -2 cm away from the core..

You know what would be cool, vaccum sealed water cooling for a laptop. You know like the supposed one in Xbox 360.
Edit: And P4-Ms run on passive cooling don't they.
