I would like to know what hardware or case for gaming I can get for $2,200 or less. This is the first time I'm building a gaming computer and I need some help choosing what's the best hardware for a gaming computer. However I'am looking for an alluminum case and an AMD Processor or Intel Processor which ever is best for gaming.
Thank you,
Jimmy (coasterdude90)

CPU = AMD Athlon 64 Socket 939
Case = Cooler Master, Praetorian
PSU = Antec Neo Power
Mobo = dual vidcard (SLI)
HD = Hitachi
Memory = OCZ
See my sig for some ideas.
See SharkyExtreme homepage for more ideas.
Does the 2200 include a monitor? If not, this should be a cake walk!

thats would i would personally get if i had $2000 to blow.... its not the most hardcore gaming machine (probably drop the AMD X2 and get a faster San Diego) and also you can save $$$ by getting a normal ATX case instead of a shuttle SFF... but like I said, this is just what i would personally choose

Don't bother with a shuttle PC, they get annoying if you want more PCI cards later on, and remember if you're using SLI, 2 GeForce 6800s = 1 GeForce 7800. Games aren't advanced enough for dual 7800, go just get a 7800GT. They go for about $400. If you get an X2 3800, make sure you OC it otherwise you'll get the gaming performance of an AMD64 3200+

For gaming get an Athlon 64 CPU and not the X2 dual core.
3800+/4000+ are both within your budget.
A single 7800GT as your GPU, 2 gigs of a nice, fast, brand name memory.
A large (250/300 gigabyte) HD, seagate baracoda 7200.8 or WD caviar are my favourite.
A 500W Enermax or Antec for your PSU.
SLI NForce 4 mobo from DFI or MSI.
BenQ DVDRW (or Nec).
