Power inverter for laptop
I have a Toshiba Satellite M35X-S1492 laptop and bought a "Pocket Power" inverter so I could use the laptop in the car.
The specs on the inverter say: 95 watts for up to 30 minutes, 85 watts continuous.
Will this work OK w/ my laptop and not damage anything?

For a Pentium M based laptop, that should be OK, although it's cutting it a bit close for my liking. The Pentium M laptops I'm most familiar with come with AC adapters rated between 65 and 90 Watts. To be on the safe side, check to see what the power rating for your laptop's AC adapter is. The power draw listed there is what I'd consider safe when comparing to your inverter's continuous power rating.

If at all possible, return the bulky power inverter, and just get a Car/Air/AC adapter for your laptop, like an iGo. Single power supply, no need to fuss with heavy inverters, etc.

Power Supply
• 65W (19V 3.42A) Auto-sensing external AC Adapter, 100-240V /
50-60Hz input.
Do these specs tell you anythig?

The first three characters of the specs tell you all you need to know: "65W". If the AC adapter can provide only 65W, then an 85W inverter ought to be sufficient (with 20W to spare for power loss at the adapter even). Just don't try to power anything else from the inverter while you're using it to power the laptop.
