Question to Dell 600m owners.

A friend wants to buy a cheap laptop, so the 600m comes to mind. Haven't really investigated other brand models.
Has the 600m reached your expectations?

He doesn't game but he wants the video card to be able to project to an external display and still be able to display the screen on the laptop screen.

How about battery life?

I would wait. Dell is slated to have lowend models with the new Duo chips, and with Dells Prices, 700-800 could net you a cheap Duo laptop.

I never had any problems with the one I had, recently sold it after a little over 2 years with it. I liked it because it could hold 2 batteries, but it was still pretty light and powerful enough to do what I needed.

Another thing, they are so easy to take apart. The optical drive, hard drive, wireless card, and memory are all amazingly easy to change out.
