no screenshots yet but fear's multiplayer was a lot of fun...I hope they can expand on that...it reminded me of sof2...don't know why it was good but it was just solid...

I will be picking this up, I enjoyed FEAR...solid shooter. But I had to play it on my crappy P4 was stuck playing 1024 with medium to low settings. I plan to upgrade soon, so I can enjoy the mission pack with better results.

I'm looking forward to this! Just to clarify, expansion packs on average, are they usually about half the gameplay time compared to the full game? I was able to complete FEAR in about 10hrs I think. What is the guess-timated playtime one could expect from an expansion?

it's been awhile since I've actually bought an expansion pack...I would say 5 hours minimum

I can never really get my expectations up for expansion packs. Even if I really enjoyed the original game (as I did with FEAR).

I guess it's just the length issue. I can never really enjoy or get into the game because in the back of my mind I always know it's not going to last, and right as I start getting into, I'm going to be let down by it ending.

Kinda like when you were a kid in school, you could never really enjoy Sunday afternoons, because in the back of your head you always knew you had to get up for school the next day.
Terrible analogy, I know, but I think you get what I'm saying. :p

Hell that still happens as an adult! Just change the word "school" for "work" and it's the same thing.

Except it involves groaning and scratching of the buttocks in the morning. ;)

ha ! "buttocks" what a strange word....Isn't 'butt' short for 'buttocks'? Anywayz, buttocks or rump, it boils down to preference.........I prefer the first on a woman.....while the second's my kinda steak! :p :D

Gosh, went OT by a mile, didn't I? :o Just to keep on topic, I can't wait for FEAR:EP! ;)

yes, butt is short for buttocks....but its still a strange word.
No one uses it much in canada, maybe its more common in the US.

Speak for yourselves, I love Sundays. I still wake up "early" on Saturday sometimes to run errands (early being 9 or 10, weekdays I'm up at 6), so I have the rest of Saturday and all of Sunday to do nothing productive whatsoever. :D Plus, I'm well rested enough from sleeping late on Sunday morning that I can stay up later on Sunday than I do on any other work night.

Technically, fall is from Sep 22 to Dec 22, give or take a day once every four years or so  Either way I wish they would at least give us month instead of a season for the release date. It feels like it's been a year since that the demo came out instead of a few months!

Finally got EP after a long delay, played thru it within a coupla days. It's more challenging in that you have more and diferent enemies to fend off, but I dislike how dark it is (so D3ish). Half the time I couldn't see an enemy in the shadow nearby, also gameplay 'feels' sorta different from the original, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Overall 7.5/10 from me......as with all games that I'd enjoyed, it feels sorta short to me.

Edit : BTW, it comes in 2 CDs if anyone wanna know. ;)
