NOTE TO EVERYONE:

Do not buy the PC version. Only the xbox360. The last SC was UNFORGIVINGLY HORRIBLE. I had never played a game so riddled with bugs. If you thought BF2 was bad, you havent seen anything. I literally could only play 2-3 minutes of the first mission. Even the intro had missing textures, etc.

From what I heard, the 360 version was solid. I say again. Do not buy this for the PC.

Though I never bought any of the games, I remember being pretty interested in the Splinter Cell series when it first started. Now I just kind of think "Geez, they're making ANOTHER one of those already?"

wasn't it originally a console game?

I think SC came out on the xb0x first

Yes, it did, I believe in 2001. It was one of the best holiday titles for the Xbox. I remember getting it, along with Halo and Dead or Alive 3 for Christmas that year and playing it non-stop for hours.

I'm a big fan of the series (own every title), but I'm becoming more and more afraid they might be churning them out a little too quickly, and compromising the great story-telling the series is known for. The last game (Double-Agent) had superb gameplay, but the story felt a bit tired and uninspired, and while it didn't sink to a Metal Gear Solid level of absurdity, it didn't feel very special either. Not to mention it had one of the WORST and most disappointing endings I've seen in a game (up there with Halo 2 and Half Life 2).

Oh, don't get me wrong, it was a very good game. It's just the story was even more convoluted than usual, and felt less inspired. But the gameplay was solid, and it was alot of fun for the most part. Just not "Game of the Year" material like other SC games have been. :)

At least IMHO.

Oh tits! I just rented Double Agent over the past winter and I have yet to finish it! This one looks pretty sweet as well... I like throwing things into people and blowing up propane tanks and propane accessories. Should be a blast!
