I want to create a wiki page for a nickname (gamer-tag) that starts with a bracket. [O]ptionman is the name but media wiki does not allow the brackets in the url.

Does anybody know of a way to make media wiki ignore the brackets in the url?

I am assuming that there is some way to render them null, but I can't figure it out.

I would try adding the brackets by their HTML codes which you can find here:
http://www.ascii.cl/htmlcodes.htm

Good luck!

EDIT: nvm, reread the problem...I'm not sure how to work it as I don't use mediawiki. Maybe get it all set up and try to add the brackets after the file structure is created.

Thanks, this gave me more things to try but I was still not able to do what I wanted. I think at this point I will say I gave a good effort and it's time to move on. Thanks again for the replies.......
