I have a friend that wants a laptop for christmas but doesnt know where to go so he asked me. I have been out of the loop for awhile but I told him I knew some people that could easily hook him up with a good deal... fellow sharkys!

So here is what his needs are:
Needs to play Wow on max settings (easy to do)
15.4 inch wide screen
Will last a couple years
Needs to be under $1K

For that I thought he could get a nice C2D, good graphics, 80gig HDD, 2 gigs of ram, Vista or XP, and a decent case.

What brand would you go with? I have an Asus, but they seem to have gone up in price since I bought mine. Also Lenovo, Dell, Toshiba, etc.

What would you buy? Thanks guys!

Budget change, it needs to be under 1500.

I would probably wait for Dell and their coupons along with CC deals with Dell or maybe the Paypal deal if it still is available that would probably be best.

I found a latitude that will work great for him. Dell has really become competitive with their prices.

Make sure that the video card is at least 8600GT Mobile or better on the laptop!
