Hello
recently i installed winME on all my systems at home!
i have a server which is connected to the internet (cablemodem) and to my homenetwork!
now i make a map drive to one of the other computers in my network. then i copy a file from my computer (server) to one of the clients and its pretty speedy (a 10 Mbit network UTP )

when i copy a file back from the client to the server it runs reaaaal slow takes like 3 mins to copy a 10 Mbyte file over a 10 Mbit network ??
It used to work perfectly with win98

does anyone know how to solve this problem?

thanks

Hrmmm...
serveral ideas.
- New drivers for you're network card.
- Defrag the harddrives.
- Make sure the hdd's are in UDMA(if avail)
- Check the UTP cable if anything looks sus, redo the end.

or optionally, go back to windows 98se http://www.sharkyforums.com/ubb/smile.gif
or even to windows2000!
