Hey I the place I worked at got some computers running windows nt on them and the problem is they are all password protected. Anyways I thought it would be wise to just format the hard drives and reinstall with winME on the hard drives since all the info on the hard drive was useless to them. So here are the steps I took in order to reinstall with the ME OS.

1)Made winME boot disk
2)Booted with cd-rom support
3)Deleted all partitions
4)Created two partitions
4)Formatted hard drives
5)Ran winME setup off the cd

After running all these steps winME did its scandisk thing and as it started to install it gave me this error:

"Message SU0013
Setup cannon create files on your startup drive for Windows ME.

If you have HPFS or Windows NT file system, you need to create an MS-DOS boot partition. If you have LANtastic server or SuperStor compression, diable it before running Setup.

For more information, see section on installing on a clean computre in setup.exe on the WinME CD-ROM"

I'm not sure what to do at this point as the only drive that has any data is the a:\ drive, which contains all the startup info and the cd-rom drive which contains the OS info.

Try booting with NT setup disks and using the NT setup program to remove any partitions. The Dos version of Fdisk (used in ME) cannot remove NTFS from some partitions. I am not sure if it could cause the problem you are having, but it is something to try.
