i'm not very clear about your selection of cas3 memory over cas2. i dunno much about memory, but isn't a higher spec one better? to me, it is like having pc133 and pc100. i can still use pc133 SDRAM using 100mhz timing and it will if anything be better. so, aside from cost issue, why would cas3 better?

CAS-2 is faster than CAS-3 memory. But we recommend CAS-3 for the business system because finding stable CAS-2 memory is difficult. CAS-3, being slower, seems to go easier on the system timing.
As for using CAS-2 at CAS-3, the i815 boards we've used oftentimes wouldn't even post with CAS-2 memory unless it was the proper kind.
