My first post to the infamous Sharky Forums...at any rate, here is my question. I'm looking at basically two sets of speakers, one is a three piece digital set and the other is a 4.1 set with four satellites and a sub, but it's analog. Both are Boston Acoustics speaker sets. What's the difference and is one supposed to be better? I have a SB Live X-Gamer, which has a digital output so that's not a problem. Thoughts? Feelings? Rants?

I doubt you'll hear / notice any difference between digital and analog speaker sets. Maybe on really quiet song parts, you may hear some hiss but usually it's either the original recording or noise from the speakers built-in amp.

Hissing:

I have the FPS2000 speakers right now, and I have the CREATIVE LIVE soundcard. No matter which way you put them on: analog or digital, they both hiss at high volumes, with or without music/sound playing. I think the problem is probably my speaker system, thats why I'm getting the klipsch promedia 2.40v, but there was no difference between the analog and digital playing.
