Are you wanting to plug in an actual digital piano-keyboard into the MIDI port on the computer? If so, you don't need winamp to do that. There's lots of software programs that do that.

If you want to play on the computer without an external keyboard, I assume you want to use either the mouse or PC-keyboard to play. I've got an old Windows program that uses the mouse to play MIDI sound with an on-screen keyboard. I think it may actually work with the PC-keyboard as well but I don't remember.

I see you have a live, which supports soundfonts, you can find them at www.hammersound.net (http://www.hammersound.net) .

The simple software I was taking about is called MidiKeys: http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/MidiKeys_win95/

For some more advanced composition software, maybe this would help: http://www.reinformation.com/orisoft/btb/btb.html
