That MP3 players are popping up faster than bunnies breed???

But about 1/10 of them are good. Feh.

Thats coz, there are suckers out there that will shell out money to buy them http://www.sharkyforums.com/ubb/smile.gif. I would stay away from them, one they have little amount of memory, and two you are forced to use a low bit rate. I like to use 192kbs and higher, but most mp3 players use 128kbs.

Yah. A bloody MP3 player is the last thing I'll spend my money on. Once I can afford one, it will be a decent MD that's my first choice. Of course I'd want both a portable one and a "base" station! http://www.sharkyforums.com/ubb/wink.gif

Why spend you money on bloody small capacity MP3 player. I've been looking for a player that will play MP3s off of a burned CD-R or CD-RW. Going through the reviews I made my decision on the Soul Player (http://www.soulplayer.com). The Rio Volt is the exact same unit minus a couple of cosmetics and price. The Soul Player is about $30 cheaper. C'mon 650MB of music and it's able to play 320kps files and variable bit rate files.

All in all, it's pretty sweet. I will say that I do have a couple of files that it can't handle, but still it's worth it.

Now if they could come up with a firmware update so that it would turn off the danceing people on the screen.

That thing looks like a cheap ripoff of a Rio Volt (except I dunno if it's cheap or not).

They are manufactured by the same company. The plastic is the same material. The funtionality is the same. It's just got some small cosmetic differences. If I'm going to some money over the exact same product, then I'm on it.
