Does anyone have one of these or know of a good one. I'm thinking of getting one and would like some recomendations.

Sadly, no good ones are out yet. Your better off with a Nomad Jukebox connected to your cassette deck.

I think you may have him mistaken. Do you mean the in dash mp3 players that play the mp3 disks, along with regular cd's and cd-r's? If that's what you mean then check out crutchfield's website for some very nice kenwood's on there. They have about the best variety there, quality and price wise.

I've got the AIWA CDC-MP3 - had it since day one and it's been a great although quirky unit. I have a 153 song CD in there right now.. Shows 30 character song titles.. Artist, song, can FWD/RVS through an MP3.. biggest downfall is that there is not fast way to get from song #30 to song #100.. Have to hit the button 70 times ;(

Also the randonmizer seems to play the same songs over and over.. http://www.sharkyforums.com/ubb/frown.gif

One last thing - no buffer - how could they leave that out? Bumpy roads will skip it..

I would check out the new JVC and Kenwood units ($300-350)..

I was talking about Hard-Drive based dash players, not the CD-based players (Cool! They make them!). The only one I know of is the Neo-35. I've seen reviews, and that thing rarely even works. Either the OS doesn't recognize the Hard Drive, or the Hard Drive doesn't spin up for 10-15 minutes. On top of that, the Mounting bracket blocks the Hard Drive interface (Huh!).

Ahh.. I didn't even think of them http://www.sharkyforums.com/ubb/wink.gif Your right.. I don't think I've seen too many HD based ones that worked all that well in real life tests..
