I have a Philips cdrw that I got in May of this year as a gift and have only been able to make 6 data disks with it. I get "calibration error messages" with it. My question is,,, How can I get the Philips Corp. to communicate with me about it? In answer to emails I have sent them (4), they tell me to call their 800 number. I have called twice , been asked my problem , phone number and name I am told that a technician will return my call within 48 hours. I haven't heard from them yet. This has been going on for 2 months. I'd sure appreciate any input.

Welcome to Sharky Forums.

What is the software you used to create the data CD's with?

BTW: Personally I would just buy another (different) CDRW, and deal with the company on the side. It would be better if it became a recreational type of affair for yourself, where you can have your hardware and save yourself the trouble. It sounds like Phillips is running you around in circles.

I agree with Garrin, sounds like you are getting the "brush-off" Is the CDRW still under warrantee? If so then I would RMA it ASAP. I have a friend who has had nothing but bad luck with Phillips CDRWs and I am to the point where I do not think that I will ever trust that company for CDRWs (I have a Plextor). I hope everything works out for you.
