Hey,

I have this really annoying task to do at work that I think could be made easier with a batch conversion utility.

Here's the gist of the problem--->

I have to convert about 5000 .xls files to .csv files (comma delimited). The only way I know of so far it to open the file in excel, then go to Save As, then overwrite the file by choosing the *.csv in the Save As Type drop down menu.

Not surprisingly, this is very time consuming so does anyone know if I could batch convert the files with some free utility? (Tried searching with google but I could only find "xls2csv" for Linux and BEOS, NOT Windows NT).

Of course if someone knows any VB code that'll do this that'd be cool to.

Thanks for any help...

Well I'm no Excel expert but I found this link just searching for "XLS to CSV converter" on Google:

Can you use any of that code that you see some way down the page?
