I was checking my email and found an email I had sent was returned but now there is a file attached to it called ATT00010.dat. I didn't attach this and I did a search and it isn't anywhere in my computer. I copied it to floppy and scanded it ofr viruses and it shows to be clean. Got any ideas?

Sometimes e-mail clients attach what was being responded to as an attached file. Some do it in-line (in the same e-mail, just noted somehow), but it appears that this one did it as an attachment. If you look at it, it might appear to be similar to what you sent the receiver. http://www.sharkyforums.com/ubb/smile.gif

Also, it could be a mail client tag. Most daemons attach what is basically a "virtual tracking number." It is for tracking down problems in the send/recieve cycles of undeliverable mail. Normally, they don't show up though.
