Java, C/C++, Perl, CGI Websites and Books?

I was wondering if anyone can link me to a site/link for ordering or information on the following books listed in the topic that would help with those programming languages in learning that is. Also if anyone also happens to know of some great sites with any if all of the above languages that give Help, ect. I would be more then appriciative to have them...thanx for your time.

It's mainly links, but, it's got book reviews and links too . Lot's of tutorials on the links. Good stuff.

Whenever anyone ever asks me about great books for C/C++ or Java, I always direct them towards www.bruceeckel.com (http://www.bruceeckel.com) . He gives both of his books, java and c++, in the .pdf format for free. This is a $50(or around their) value for each book. I've used both of his books, instead of my college required books, to pass my programming classes. Very well written.

As a reference for java, i've been using Java In a Nutshell by O'Reilly and Java Foundation Classes by O'Reilly. Both of these books show the class heirarchy of the JDK 1.3 packages. Another good reference for java is the Java Documentation that comes with JDK. It gives a short description of every method that exists.

All of these books can be found at amazon.com. I'll sure you see that both O'Reilly and Bruce Eckel get high reviews when it comes to writing books. btw, if you think your a genius try a book by Stroustrup call 'The C++ Programming Language'. He's the guy that created the language. Very intense book.

And a website? I really don't use web sites to find information about programming c++ or java. I usually ask my professors questions, so I couldn't help ya there. Maybe one of the fine administrators here can help you out.
