I was looking at a local community college and they have a MSCE program for 2 semesters 4 days a week for 4 hours a class.
Is it worth it? How much does a MS certified System Engineer make?
Any opinions and suggestions?

Its worth it you plan to work in the IT field, it's an excellent résumé filler-upper and it give you credentials. There no specific amount which an MSCE earns it all depends on what job you can get.
An MCSE certification will sure help your career. If I’m not mistake the MSCE certification together with the Cisco certification are two of the most valuable assets in looking for a job in the IT field. This is by no mean substitute for hand on experience or a college degree but it sure helps you get a good job.

Bollocks, MCSE's generally know diddly squat and assume that because they have this "qualification" that deserve more than someone who has put hard work into actually learning how to do something.

In my experience a Microsoft Certified Support Engineer can just about use the basic administration tools in Windows NT 4 / 2000 without completely screwing up the system involved. Ask them to do *anything* more complicated and you're asking for trouble.

It's just another revenue stream for Microsoft, as it is for Novell, Cisco et al.
