I'm interested in learning how to program in C and java... Grizzly 07-18-2001, 07:55 PM As far as I know you'll be pretty hard pressed to find Development tools for a MAC (programming I mean). MAC just isn't a developers platform, though from what I've heard OSX has changed that a bit. But even still, I've heard that even software which is written *for* a MAC, is typically developed on a VAX system. I'd get yourself a PC if you really wanted to get into programming. dighn 07-18-2001, 07:57 PM I heard MacOS X comes with complete development tools ------------------ So easy to use, no wonder it's number one!!! They do a student edition for $99... http://www.metroworks.com hobbes2112 07-19-2001, 11:51 AM Macs are evil!!! ------------------ [SGC Moderate Member] (http://www.sharkyforums.com/ubb/Forum17/HTML/005187.html) Darien 07-19-2001, 01:12 PM Thanks http://www.sharkyforums.com/ubb/smile.gif Now I just gotta wonder if it's worth it to buy a notebook, and if a TiBook will be worth it. Seeing as how nothing was announced during the keynote 'bout any upgrades, and the external cd-rw promotion ends september, it makes me wonder if something will get updated soon... SharkyExtreme.com
