I have heard that your computer tracks everything you do in the index.dat file. The internet often times brings up sites I don't want to see. My father believes that I search these sites out. He is a computer tech and knows all. I try to erase the cache and the history but I have seen taht there is something else to it.
My question then is how do I view the index.dat file and if possible how do I delete it.
Thanks

Deleting your history, cache & autocomplete (if you actually entered anything) should be easily enough, unless your dad is a major hacker.
TweakUI, part of "Power Tools" on the Microsoft website has a "Paranoia" tab that can clear just about everything.
