I posted something a few weeks or days ago about C++ being hard, well now its gotten easier. The problem was converting ASCII values damn are they are *****! But I got my own copy of C++ 5.01 and its going good now. I keep getting some error about the 16bit debugger but the program still runs is there a way to turn this off. Tell me if you need me to be more specific about the error. Suggest some good books please about C++ also. Thanks

Have fun until you get to STL. STL has got to be the biggest waste. It varies from compiler to compiler and the error messages are extremely cryptic. If you're ever going to use containers and iterators, I suggest you use Java where it much simpler. Just my $0.02 though.

I always build something on top of the stl object as an interface since the interface they have is pretty crappy.

Not a cureall, but it's helpful.
