web page newbie

I have just taken over the website for our church. I have a few problems, one being that I don't know what I'm doing. I have the server name and password and have logged on with SmartFTP. However, the original web page was created in publisher, and as far as I know, publisher won't open a web page. Any ideas? When I create a new page in publisher, and then upload it and overwrite the page it displays it as part of the page I uploaded and part of the index page just in minature.

any help for this newbie?

Hmmm... what is the URL... one of us can look at the html source and prolly tell whats cooking.

like I said, I used my ftp program to delete the original page 4, and put this page in it's place. Of course this page doesn't even have half of the stuff I created.
it actually only has two of my lines...
"A group of students dedicated to God, and each other"
and
"This page is only in it's beginning stages, bear with us as we update it slowly."

these are the only two lines from my new page that show up.

help!
