Fan position

Ok right now I have a 92mm sunnon blowing on my video card, threw a blowhole. I am going to purchase a 120mm sunnon. Now should I either put the 92mm overtop of the HSF to give it a constant supply of air or should I put the 120mm over the HSF and fan.

I think in my mind it'd be better to put the 120mm over the video card and the 92 over the HSF

Yeah I just wrote a 4 page reply but my comp crashed :-) Sumerized it said, what case fans do you have now?? You dont want heat pockets, you want fans blowing in and out, should have fans blowing in the front, out the back in the side and out the top. Blowhole means fan blowing out the top not in the side. Put the 120 blowing in the side and 92 out the top, try getting more fans. put the 92 blowing out the back if you can fit but if not put it blowing out the top, for only two fans have one blowing in the front and one out the back

Well currently I have a 120mm ys tech for intake at the bottom and a 120mm exhaust at the top. A 92mm blowing over my video card. But I'm also buying a 120mm sunnon I dont know where I should put the 92 and the 120

One thing to keep in mind is to have more CFM blowing out of the case rather than in, or like "jamesavery22" said..you'll have dead pockets of extremely hot air..not good! http://www.sharkyforums.com/ubb/smile.gif

My aopen case is an hx08 or something like that and its a full tower. However I've positioned my exhaust fan at the very top. It's an 120 ys tech 135 cmf and it doesnt seem to make a difference with it on or not. Where do you guys typical position your exhaust fans near the top I'm assuming?

hehe Aopen HX08 RULES!! i have one as well =)
i have a 1.2ghz tbird, and its at 39 idle, 42 stressed with no AC on. thats pretty damn good i would think.

the only mod i have is a side panel mod, which sucks air in. If ure hsf sucks air into ure heatsink, then make the fan suck in air. if it blows out, make the fan blow out.

'chimney' mods, as they are often refered to, are not that effective, but they sure are fun to make =p
i personally do not have a chimney fan, as it serves little purpose.
just make sure u have adaquete exhaust and intake.....

Should I position the Fan right ontop of the HSF. Also where is the best choice for the exhaust under the psu?
