Sims

This game occasionally locks up during play does anyone have any suuggestions?

I've got a 1.2Gig Athlon, Geoforce2/64M Vid card, 256 megs RAM, Soundblaster live sound, running Windows ME. I've got the most current vid drivers and DirectX 8, I've also installed the most current patch for the game from EA. I've attempted turning off everything except explorer and systray and it still locks up.

It never seems to be in any particular area or during any specific action.

how about a lot more info.. ie: system specs, things running in the back ground, how much ram, what happens when it locks up.. does it lock up doing the same thing over and over? you know.. info so we can hopefully help you..

If you are using a VIA chipset motherboard, there may be a conflict in the IRQ assignments/sharing with your sound card...what motherboard are you using and do you have any IRQ sharing with your video card and/or sound card?
