NHL 2002 problems
When I play NHL 2002 for a while, the game starts to stutter. I have to then re-boot the system and it's fine for a while, but then it starts to stutter again. I used TweakXP to set the system cache up to the 256mb+ setting and this helped a little, but not much. Would somebody please help me with this since it has been an on-going problem ever since I bought Windows XP. ( It did not do this in Win98SE )
EDIT: Oh, BTW, I have the Plutonium drivers installed for my R8500.

What's running in the background? Also, do you have a refreshrate fixer for Windows XP? If you don't, download one at www.guru3d.com

are your settings like maxxed out? res? detail?

I have no extra programs running in the backround. I also have the high performance defaults on too. I will try the refresh rate fix and see if that helps. I will update on a later post if it works.

Well i have my settings turned up but not maxed and i dont have any problems with it.

The refresh fix didnt do anything. This is a wierd problem because as I play the game longer, the problem gets worse. This never happened when I had Win98. Like i said, i used TweakXP to set the system cache higher and this helped a little, but it only lengthened the period before it started stuttering. This is very annoying since I can only get 3 games out of it before i have to restart my system. please help me.

3 games in a row?? Damn i can only play like one in a row before i get tired of it hehe.

Well, i'm doing a season right now. But still, it's annoying how I have to restart the machine to get rid of the stuttering. Anybody have any ideas?
