Abit Kt7a Mobo
I have gone Through about 5 of these motherboards all of them have been new Straight Outa da box and NONE of them work Correctly. I was wondering if any of you have had the same Problem or if you know of a Bios Flash / upgrade or ANYTHING. I just put one in a new system with a new Hardrive / Ram Using a AMD Tbird 1.4 and get all sorts of Errors. 4 times I got an error where the Processor was clocked at 1150 at post and Gave me a CMOS Checksum error and when I entered the Bios it was clocked at 500 mhz so I changed it back to 1400 mhz at 133 FSB (yes we tried it at 100 fsb). Um got some Wierd error after post before WIN 2000 CD Started loading looked like a memory error. Reboot Turns on no video.. Hit Restart Vwallah Video Guess what happens next? Nope your wrong its the CPU again yup at 1150.. Bios says 500 mhz again. ok ok Reset CMOS .. CPU Missread again . Now this is only the Most Recent run in with the Newest KT7A. My last 3 have been similar only difference is that I had a Running System and then It would Randomly shutoff then wouldnt boot right it would boot for 2 secs and shut off. Then after about 100 power button punches It would boot ... No video. Ok 100 more and I get video .. THEN the processor reads wrong ... After about 4 hours of working on it I can get it to boot and Run and play on it ... 2 weeks and same thing. This has been with 3 different systems with diferent Configurations and different Cases with Different Power supplys So I KNOW it is the motherboard because thats the only constant. Any one else have a HUGE Problem with Those boards?

Bad CPU maybe? I also assume you have built computers before and that you have the board in the case on stand-offs, and do not have the board grounding out against the case?
