New pc wont boot
Hi guys hope someone could help with this problem
I am building a new rig and it wont boot if i hook up the pcie connectors on the card's or card
im useing a x79 extreme 9 board and power is a corsair ax1200 im also useing the cosmo 2 case which has a built infan control
if the pci power is plugged in the fans spin for half a second then nothing , i then have to disconnect the power cord clear cmos
funny thing is all the peripherals are working fine optical drive fan control any ideas ???

can you list all your parts? Also have you tried a different PSU?
Also is it that it wont turn on at all or it wont boot to windows?

got it to boot with one card and installed windows ok but adding second card it wont boot
have to reset cmos and pull cards out to get it too boot again!

i also have a h100 for cooling cpu but i notice the fault led does not stay on with this board but works on boot im thinking motherboard i have swapped cards and they work ,all the ram is in and that is ok optical and fan control are in and ok and i have a orbit max monitor thats ok

Have you tried updating your BIOS?

will that effect warranty if i rma it?

No it will not affect your warranty as the BIOS is made for the MB, by the MB company. Best of luck.

did intel makethe new chipset able to run two AMD cards for crossfire? i dont trust intel chipsets as far as you can throw one.

its running at 28 c put not stressed it yet as i wanted to do it with the two cards installed
ill flash it and see,also the sound card it came with is not working!!
never normally have these problems and im not inpressed with the new bios type uefi or something like that

dont feel bad. alot of onboard sound chips burn out pretty fast. im not pushing mine hard enough to blow it yet. just all my creative cards kept getting thrown out by the motherboard.
