Kyro II or Geforce 2 Pro 32MB ?? Need your advise.

I'm pretty much sure what components i'll be buying for my next system except for the vid card.
At first I was set to buy a Hercules 3D Prophet 4500 Kyro II card. But then the store was offering a LeadTek GF2-Pro with 32MB 5.5ns DDR for pretty much the same price.
So I was wondering if I should go for the GF2-Pro with 32Mb or the Kyro II?
They are also offering a GF2-Pro from LeadTek with 64MB 5.5ns DDR but 27% more expensive than the 32mb edition.
How does the 32mb edition compare to the 64mb GF2Pro now & in future games?
Oh and if you were wondering if I would have a powerfull enough processor for the Kyro II, I will get a 1GHz AMD ThunderBird 266FSB and overclock it as much as possible(swiftech MC462BA). I really need your advise! THX

geForce 2 pro... i feel the KYRO II will be outdated before the PRO is. https://www.sharkyforums.com/images/.../2005/06/5.gif. I just dont like its lack of DX8 features, and its low polygon counts (tile based rendering or not, i odnt care), and its small fill rates (" " " "). i like the PRO, its super fast, even in 32-bit https://www.sharkyforums.com/images/.../2005/08/2.gif.

Go with the kyro2, the new T&L games coming out are not even supported by the GTS only the Gefarce3.

i was pumped to take back my geforce mx and get a kyro 2 tomorrow but after reading the review at tweakit im having big second thoughts. http://tweak3d.net/reviews/hercules/prophet4500/
i was pretty sure that all geforce 2s use t&l. thats y their is such a diff in the 3dmark scores between kyro and geforce. i want something that i can blaze thru max payne with:P how many future games will really make use of hardware t&l? does anybody else have links to kyro reviews?

and exactly what DX8 features has the GF2 got?
Although I would say that the GF2 would give slightly better performance based on current drivers(this may well change as the K2 drivers mature).
How long either card lasts is a totally different proposition. I really think that the K2 combined with a fast CPU will way outlast the GF2.

I got my ELSA GTS Pro 32MB 2 weeks ago. I am a bit puzzle with the different reviews on the Kyro 2, certainly better than the MX, some reviewers says the Kyro2 is trailing the GTS, some even said that the Kyro2 outperformed the Ultra??? the ELSA comes with 5ns clocked at 200/400, upped the memory to 460 but noticed only 200 points increase in my 3DMark2000 (6800). Get a Geforce 3 and be happy!

What cpu are you using chicken nugget? I get 7325 in 3dmark2000 on pIII 700@933Mhz 4xagp,fastwrite,sideband with GTS overclocked using detonator 12.00. Ram running 357/413

P!!!550E@733 detonator 6.18! Tried the 12.41 but about 100+ points lower in 3DMark 2000. Tried a few 7, 10 and 11 series drivers, but lower than the 6 series (6.18 and 6.50 giving the higehr scores so far) maybe i should try the 12.90s but i doubt to see any improvement. Is that a typo 357 core? Like mentioned before i tried overclocking the card to Ultra specs but only 200 points increase (no point for me)

thats my pc133 SDram spec on sisoft software. I normally have my GTS clocked 220/364.

Tough call. I'd get the Pro, since you're pretty much guarenteed good performance accross all games, something that the Kyro can *not* do. If Counter-Strike and 3D Mark are all that you run, get the Pro. If you like FSAA and high res 32 bit, get the Kyro 2.

People that talk about the Kyro 2 growing old must realise that by the time the Kyro 2 is outdated, the Kyro 3 will be released and be stomping all over the Geforce 3 Ultra. https://www.sharkyforums.com/images/.../2005/06/5.gif

i was going to get an mx 400 initially, but read more reviews and articles on the kyro. its a better choice.
