Did you try using the catuninstaller.exe?
The DAO is gone but the Multimedia centers won't uninstall.
do a complete ati software reinstall of your current driver/associated software package, then remove. if just one file is missing, the uninstall will not workie....
bummer

Nice try but now that I uninstalled and reinstalled the DAO and The Multimedia Center, whenever I open the app the installer comes on and I get an error that a dll won't load. Error 0x80040702. The installer won't stop. So there is only a partial installation. :(
Did you actually run catuninstaller.exe to do the uninstall ad still get left with the MMC?Quote:

Not only did I run the catuninstall but the Windows uninstaller. The old version 0f 8.2 media center didn't show up on the windows uninstaller list, so I deleted all of the files. But 8.2 is still on the Add/Remove list. Maybe there is something from 8.2 conflicting. I tried Safe Mode but no luck. TV Wonder Pro PCI card.
Ouch. At this point my route would be to do a reformat and clean windows reinstall, for me it would be quicker than dealing with it further.Quote:

once you do one, then reinstall the other version, then uninstall. you can then use driver cleaner after the last uninstall to catch anything that may be left over.
been there, done it, with ATI and other software with the samo problemo. no need to reinstall the OS(yes, it will solve the problem, but you will never know how to fix it the next time), unless you want to waste some more time.
