What operating system are you using? Sounds like a corrupted registry entry. Have you carefully removed the software drivers for the nic and re-installed them?

I have a TI4200 in my second machine with 1 gig of PC2700 ram and a 2500 Barton and it ROCKS!

Definitely a 2500 Barton. Mine overclocks to 2230 with increased vcore and v dimm settings. I bought the pc3500 for some headroom but 3200 should be ok if you overclock.

The start-up disc option is a sub option of format.
