I don't think companies can realy on older gain to servive, look what happen to Diamond, Tident, & Number 9, they were big. Matrox was very new, & they'er still here. It all to do with hard work....

Check the monitor refresh rate, sounds like the Nvidia driver has upped the refresh rate.

You can always OC your P4, the 1.7g can be OC to 2.0g or 2.1g with out any problem. If it a A, or B model you can even use the standard hsf. As for the TI4800, don't waist your money, it's still quit...
