no matter how my system is handleing i do it once every 6 months just to get rid of stuff i have forgoten about etc. i like keeping it like that.

i would not recommend doing this. one it will make your server slower. and you wont like how it handles. and if you really wanted to you can make it so linux doesnt take up that much space anyway....

i say go pro also, if you go home, you dont get to have all the cool administrative things, or the domain stuff. all of which is very good to have. go with pro.

couldnt he log in as administrator and just change the password for the other user? unless he uses the administrative password to begin with:eek:

i doing it from a windows xp for testing, and i type in MYGROUP as the domain, the root as user, **************** as the password ( for the samba...

if your on the linux box all you ahve to do is setup the samba client. and if your in the xwindow thing you can just use the gui editor...and its under something like network preferences, windows...
