Sarcasm isn't going to get you much help -- we don't exactly get paid, y'know? Did you try exploring the settings? Windows settings (make sure you're not set to two speaker)...software settings..etc?

I was so PO'd at my last AMD system (wouldn't run..no matter what I did with it..replaced various parts multiple times...people here probably still remember), so I went Intel. Never regretted it..

Your games & music are only sending sound to 4 channels..that would be why. Not sure how to fix it, though..sorry..

You should have six RCA inputs on the back of the receiver -- front left/right, rear left/right, center, and sub. Run stereo->RCA cables from the sound card to the inputs on on the receiver.

I have a TBSC, and I'm happy with it..I might end up running it through my home theater sound Kenwood VR-407 5.1 setup) to see how it sounds..

Am I the only one that would rather have another decent computer than an insane graphics card? My Ti4200 works just fine..

That's about what I was going to say..most people notice bass, and couldn't really care less about the rest of the sound.
