My vote is for the Diamond Supramax.Had mine for over 5 years and it is the most reliable I have owned.I also got a Creative modem which has worked pretty damn good too(and it was free).

I will have to wait a month for it to finish downloading on 56k or can someone burn it to a disc and walk very slowly to my house and give it to me.Whichever is faster.:D

Z340's here too.Nice little speaker system.You might find them for 35 bucks if you look around some.

My vote is for the Z640's.Not bad for 70 bucks or less.Nice bass and a cool little blue light.I gave a Z340 system to a relative as a gift and he loves them.

The difference between the Live and Audigy2 is huge.The sound is clearer and you'll hear sounds you never heard before in games with the Live.It is worth the upgrade.Plus,my computer loads quicker...

What kind of heatsink is it? I had one of those chrome orbs on a tbird 1.1ghz and it ran in the high 60s to mid 70s celcius for 6 months and never locked up.Maybe you need a different heatsink.Those...

I have always considered anything up to about 55 degrees celcius(athlon) to be fine.But your temp does seem high for a Pentium 4.Maybe you need some air-conditioning.:D That room is a little toasty.

Yeah,you should reformat and install the O/S.You'll run into lots of problems if you dont.Good luck with your first motherboard change out.
