you dont need a good video card for video editing.

a 2500+ chip will do fine and 512mb ram minimum.

yeah, resolution on tvs are horrible, so video that looks bad on a monitor can look great on a tv.

look at it from this perspective:

you buy a computer, you dont know jack about them, the specs say 100GB, your son says thats a lot, you buy it, you turn it on, windows says 95GB or whatever.

i want others here at home to play with me on the same server and we all go through a router which links to 1 dsl modem...
