you're correct.. you would only notice it when dealing with large files..
one area where raid 0 is good to have is video editing... where you're editing files that are gigs in size.. the faster...

i've got a tv wonder VE and it sucks the big one... i want the card that os-wiz has... heh. but yeah, i find that if i have the TV on my second monitor when the screen saver comes on, that locks up...

holy crap.. you really need a new power supply. those rails are horrible. also, AMD's recommendation for any of their processors is either 300 or 350 watts (i think 300.. don't remember for sure)

the program is called powermax, and it works pretty well for finding issues with hard drives.

what do you have for cooling on the chip? it's possible that it could have locked up from getting hot and it would then not want to boot until it cooled down.
another possibility is a bad power...
