The computer is not posting, AGP card as you know, No error beeps from the BIOS, Appropriate AGP settings have been set in the BIOS,Every device powers on as if the computer was about to post but nothing.. blank screen, Bios is flashed to latest version, The card WORKS, been tried in my computer, I put my fx 5200 in his computer and the same deal, What leads me to believe that it is not the agp slot or mobo is in the nature in which the problem is occurring and the fact that I have seen others with this same problem.
Specs are basically.
Intel Cel 1.8 Ghz
250 or so MB ram (its roomies comp)
NO onboard video (Knew id get asked that)
Onboard devices that I thought could cause trouble I disabled.
its a pcchips motherboard, m920LR
Sorry the post was so long but to tell you the truth if I typed here the processed we've been through it's going to come out as long as the IRC transcript. Easy problems require little to post, a problem like this is going to require more. Atleast it will require enough in one post where I do not have to post back xx amount of times to get said what needs to be said from jump street
hmm, I worked on a rig before that had the same prob, the PCI card worked, but not the AGP. I removed the cmos battery for about 20mins and popped it back in and it worked, if you haven't already tried that, maybe that could do the trick. And if you have, maybe the AGP slot is fux0red.
