In Singapore the gaming scene is rather lousy. Yeah, if you stay in a hotel you might get writeups about the gaming scene here. But to tell the truth Gaming here is strictly unprofessional and mainly pirated. Most of us kids have no time for games and mainly just mug. Or the rest ruin their lives in creative ways. Especially since most of Asian society frowns upon gaming. Singapore taste is strictly absurd. Many of us still cling to CS 1.6. Because of this strange taste, hype works to great effect and many games don't launch well here. For example, Unreal tournament is almost dead here. The community is extinct, almost gone, except for a few online local servers.

However, its nice to know there is a retreat for people like us. Sim Lim Square, AKA the Hardware mall. Word of advice, don't buy anything from there. Its much more expensive than in the States. But thats where you really see gamers. Not little kids who shout kill at the next covenant that pops into view. Its nice to know that almost every guy in the mall is serious about his technology and you feel very at home. None of them have the expertise that sharks do. I pretty much surprise everyone there due to my age.

However, if you speak in terms of consoles. We are pretty good, though most operate on a library of pirates.
