    Every once in a while, you will get a usb stick that stops being recognized completely when trying to reformat. A lot of people assume that they have permanently destroyed their flash drive and just toss it out, but you can actually get it back using the article on recovering usb flash I posted on this thread. No need to buy a new one most of the time
