i9 currently use an old Mx1000 and its starting to die on me. I think the feel is alright but I hate that the connection tends to go wonky every so often. I really do like cordless, but I'm wary of getting another wirless mouse if I'll have the same connection issues.

If you want another wireless in the shape of the MX1000 the closest you'll get is the Razer Mamba. It's in the same shape of the DeathAdder mostly but can be wired or wireless. It's extremely expensive though at $130 bucks.

I've heard good things about the G9x, but I couldn't go that route. The MX1000 and G7 spoiled me. I can't go back to a wired mouse.

The mamba is nice but out of my price range. I saw some other wired/wireless razor mice and I like that. I think I ,might pick up one fo those.

Just a word of warning, if you buy a mouse, make sure to buy it from a store where you can return it since there are many mice that will hurt your hand since everybody's hand is different. I've tried the MX518 too when I was getting a new mouse and like the G7/G9, it gave me the most awful hand cramps/hand pain because its very awkwardly shaped for my hands.

I really enjoy my Razer Diamondback. I picked it up for 20 bucks on woot. I liked it so much I bought a back up in case this one goes out. I've been using it for around 3-4 years now and it still works great. Very precise and it has two buttons on each side that come in handy and are nicely integrated.

I think they made a newer model of the Diamondback which is called the Copperhead. I don't think they make them anymore but some places still have inventory. I wouldn't be surprised if you could pick either up pretty cheap. The Diamondback was very well regarded and won numerous awards such as Gamespot's 2004 hardware of the year award.
