Q: What are the PvP rules?
A: There will be no restrictions whatsoever concerning PvP. It’s up to the players to create a society that punishes criminals. With the ability to knockout and drag fellow players into player constructed prisons and torture devices, punishment will definitely be a viable option.

hmmmm, after reading the FAQ, this is starting to sound like bull-shite. For instance:

Ok, this is from one of IGN's interviews with the main guy of Dawn:
We've developed our own targeting system that works perfectly in conjunction with client side prediction. Because there is no 'leading' your target we're able to eliminate the effects of reasonable latency completely.
Ok, now that makes a little more sense, but that means ONLY MELEE weapons, or auto-targeting spells! That's pretty limited there.

Fwank, there are around 2 dozen people working on Dawn, Larry=Axehandler, Jeff=Jeff, Mario=Raz, Dario=706, and Chris whos SN i can not remember are just the only ones who deal with media.
And for the other non believer, there are other ways that the net code reduces lag, but since combat is a big latency causer they have eliminated certain things from it that cuase lag.
Believe me Dawn is real, I am an alpha tester, and my comp is less than avg and i dont lag AT ALL, so at worst when the final version comes out I will experiencing a little lag with the eye candy features and larger world and more players on line, but the things they are doing to reduce latency is amazing.
They never, ever update, never have interviews, and have an extremely small workforce. And they say its 65,000 square miles compared to AC's 500? I'd for sure bet the farm Dawn is not ever going to make it. (feel free to prove me wrong about that part, I'm sure there are more knowledgable people)
I dont hate the game or anything, that game would RULE.. however, too good to be true.
