Top OC on a 2.0A GHz Intel?

Looking for an idea of how high I can ramp this new cpu with an asus p4s533 and the stock hsf.

i'm thinking i could get around 2.4GHz performance but i know there are no guarantees. just looking for an idea on limits so i don't hose anything.

my girlfriend won't let me buy another if i cook it.

My mate got 2.8GHz out of his P4 2.0A with the stock HSF. Not sure what voltage though, I think it was around 1.75V or 1.8V or so...
edit Oh, also, he is using an Asus P4S533 and Corsair XMS3000.

He is gonna get a better HSF and see if he can get 3GHz, although his temps are only in the 30s - 40s at the moment. (Its winter here in Australia!)

It's the way the Earth's Axis get's tilted. The Northern Hemisphere tilts toward the Sun more than the Southern Hemisphere during the Summer months, and vice versa during winter.

It's got nothing to do with the position of the Earth. When it's Winter in the Northern Hemisphere, the Earth is actually closest to the Sun.

I know I'm going to get grilled for this being a bit OT, but I had to explain it

I'm aware of that, but the earth turns on its axis daily (so goes the "day" and "night") The seasons are decided by how far the earth veers from the sun in the yearly circle around it. (summer being closer, winter being further)

Sorry for the OT, but I just thought that was kinda... silly...

you are correct with your facts, but wrong with your conclusion. the earth turns on its axis daily, yes of course. but the earth's axis is not straight up and down in relation to the sun. it is tilted, as Ashpool said. its tilt remains the same around the sun. so when its on one side of the sun, say during Our Summer in the US, we, during the day are on almost a straight beeline towards the sun, with the sun in our zenith (zenith is when you look straight up through the atmoshpere). when we are on the other side of the sun, the tilt causes us to be a bit higher compared to the summer position, therefore the sun is not in our zenith anymore. hence the seasons.

if your theory was true, that the seasons are decided by how far the earth veers from the sun in the yearly circle around it, then why would we have a different summer and different winter than say australia and south america? after all, if we are farther away from the sun, so is australia and south america (and other southern hemishpere continents.

As for the seasons.. yes they're reversed.. Australians celebrate christmas in mid summer.. while june/ july are mid winter.

    ...
Stock cooling here on my 2.0a @2700 ...but I will say that if I let my room get to 75F or higher, the OC gets a bit squirrely, so I keep my room temps at 70f
