sim copter -i love it- remake it maxis

does any1 remember playing this great game. sure the people and some of the grphics sucked but i just remember this game being so fun. it would be so sweet if maxis would make a sequel to it with todays graphics it would be so fun. the best part about it was importing your old sim city games and flying in them. they should do the same thing with sim tower. it seems to me that maxis needs to stop updating the *** sims and try updating some of their other great games. for some reason i just remember these games being more fun back in the day than games today, although its probably because im just older. what do u guys think?

Hang in there you never know! I think its a good idea to remake simCopter(eventhough I've never played it) but I don't know about SimTower. How could Maxis do it better, I mean its 2D so the only thing that you could change is some of the graphics. How would it work if it was in 3D?

Simcopter has some of the worst graphics known to man.Plus it was buggy. The gameplay was fun and looking at the hurt passengers bleed worse and worse was pretty funny. You could throw people out of the helicopter a couple hundred feet up.Fun stuff.

For a real POS buggy game SimCopter was sweet.

Another long, long lost Maxis game that really kicked *** was Atrain. It was a metro/urban rail simulator with a stock market and very complex management features. Definitely one of the best real time games ever made.

I remember that the Original Simcity had 2 expansion packs. Future and Ancient Cities. They were not unlike SC3K Umlimited but for the original Simcity! I bought it for my Amiga at the time. And with the Amiga doing 4096 colors it wasnt too bad at the time eh?

Ancient Cities included, Wild West, Acient Asia and Medieval Europe. Future Cities included Future Europe, Future USA and Moon Colony. There was a rumoured 3rd expansion (according to my amiga mag) that never got off the ground, (since the 1st 2 were so successful - at least on the Amiga scene) they were to include Ancient Rome, Underwater Atlantis and Mars Colony. I remember thinking of nothing else in my school days just waiting, the anticipation was killing me. But it never got released. I never did play SC2K, my Amiga bit the dust before I could ever play it.

Anyway I guess what Im trying to say is that if Maxis intend on making an expansion for SC4 they better consider doing something ala Future and Ancient Cities, not that rehashed Unlimited crap.

Back in the day Simcity was THE computer game. I probably played it almost daily for a year straight.

Was sim copter the one where you fly a helicopter and you go put out fires and stop riots and stuff?

If it was that game I loved it but it was hard to play for a full 5 minutes without it crashing .

Wow, its really amazing how many Sim games were brought out! Then of course you had games like Theme Park, Theme Hospital etc etc... this is one of the reasons i never bothered with sim games, too many to choose from. Anyone else find that?

Did anyone here have Atrain. It was made by Maxis right after the release of SimCity. That game truely kicked a**.

I loved SimCopter. Then I found that my CD was gone after a reformat. Never played it since.

It had excellent gameplay, I loved to put our fires and shoot criminals with the apache.

SimTower was pretty goos too. It would be an excellent game if they upped the graphics and made it possible to select and build multiple condos at once.
