    What is a Good Stable Clock and Memory speed for 9700 Pro

    going to install a zalman heatpipe tomarrow , just want to know what is a good stable Mhz i can set it at , something that i dont have to be worried about .i want to set it and leave it like that. sorry ive never oc on a ATI card so i dont know what is safe and not safe.

    Well, in theory, any overclock is unsafe. There really isn't that much to worry about, just increase the core and memory in small increments(not necessarily linear), reboot, run some benchmarks and if everything is fine and dandy then you can go higher. Once you se artifacts or game lockups then you know you've gone too far. Back down a little until everything goes away. Every card overclocks differently so if someone says you WILL be fine at XXX/XXX that doesn't necessarily mean that it WILL work fine. Good luck!
