Build your own pocket xp pc

I saw the oqo, and i'm not impressed by the options for handheld computing, from pocketpc (no usb, lacks apps) to palm (even worse), only xp will do, and oqo doesnt have design or specs on its hand.

i want to build a pocket pc that runs xp, has 802.11g, usb2, bluetooth, voice records and plays videos. everything i need on it will be transferred from a real sized comp(it will lack a cd drive). for size, durability(if dropped it works better than HD) i want to use flash memory. so i need:

    1) how do i build a tiny motherboard with these features

    2) what specs of products should i look for

    3) how much money, and time will it take

    thank you

Won't using windows Strictly on a flash based storage system kill it in a relatively quick time frame due to excessive swaping and read/writes?

I doubt you will be able to build a pocket size computer than can run windows XP ...
    Activation? What activation?

Ya, first of all XP only runs on X86 hardware. Pocket PC’s typically run on ARM, Power or MIPS. You could probably get something from transmetta that could run XP, but building your own motherboard for it is pretty much out of the question.

Who says you need to build your own motherboard. There already exist a super small motherboard. Google up "pico-itx"

Look at this page...the guy is running XP from a modded gameboy:

I think there is something called a micro PC that is about triple the size of a Pocket PC, that runs XP. But with laptops priced much lower and being more feature rich, I don't believe they ever really took off.

    I love the tagline:

"Fill your life with much more fun and value!"

    I can't argue with that!

Do you have the Everun or the Vega?
