If you don't have SP1, its 137 I believe.

it does work like that, its based on which file system u use.
for ntfs is its 4Tb.

The file system isn't the limiting factor, it is the IDE disk addressing that is restricted to either 32 bits or 48 bits with the latest patches. Disk partitioning does not change the disk addressing requirements because the address is for a physical disk location, not a logical partition relative location.

With Windows XP SP1, you should be able to use any size IDE drive that's currently on the market as long as your computer's BIOS supports 48-bit LBA addressing.
